Throughout its history, AMCAP has been a place for LDS counselors from a diversity of professions, geographic locations, and ages to learn from one another and draw strength from a shared commitment to gospel principles and professional excellence.

AMCAP is comprised of hundreds of spiritually-anchored practitioners, who each in turn affect the lives of hundreds more individuals and families - lifting them in times of pain, strengthening crucial family ties in an era of worldwide family erosion, and building hope and resilience for the future.

From small, informal gatherings beginning several decades ago, AMCAP has grown into a worldwide professional association meeting a unique need and serving a unique purpose. We invite you to join with us in the collegial interchange, spiritual focus, and sharing of ideas that is AMCAP.

Professional Membership: A professional member must have reached a professional level of training in mental health and pay the annual dues. They have the right to vote and hold office in AMCAP.

Associate Membership: An associate member need not be a member of the Church nor be professionally involved in mental health, but must subscribe to the mission and purposes of AMCAP and pay the annual dues. Associate members may neither vote nor hold office.

Student Membership: A student member must be engaged in a program of professional training in mental health and pay the annual dues. They have the right to vote and hold office.
