Welcome to AMCAP's new site!

Welcome to LDSamcap.org, the new website under development for AMCAP, the Association of Mormon Counselors and Psychotherapists.  AMCAP is experiencing a significant growth spurt right now, and this new website is a powerful expression of that growth.   Some of the most exciting features in this new site, representative of development occurring in the organization, are:

1) Translation capacity - See those little flags at the top of our home page?  They're not just decoration!  If you click on one of the flags, it will instantly translate the whole site into the language represented by the flag.  (Or, you can use the text menu on the left column, titled "Translate this site" to do the same thing.)  This feature is indicative of the initiatives AMCAP is making currently to expand its Area Network, and to reach out more effectively to members of a wide variety of cultures and nations.

2) Online community - Click on "Community" to see what's being built here.  Better yet,  become part of the building process yourself!  Our AMCAP community functions something like "Facebook," allowing each member to create an individual profile telling a little about themselves, add pictures, videos, or other content, and interact online in dynamic discussions of events and issues.  But - this community is specific to the issues and events important to AMCAP members!  So - create a profile, join a group, enter the conversation, contribute your insights and ideas!

3) AMCAP Connect - This new tab contains several exciting features allowing AMCAP members to connect and interact online as never before.  This is where the Area Network is contained, where Area Coordinators and others can learn about AMCAP's expanded efforts to reach out to a broader membership worldwide.  It also contains a much more accessible and vastly expanded Forum, where registered users can post and respond to questions on a variety of topics.  Together with the Community, the Forum will allow AMCAP members all over the world to instantly, effectively share their ideas and insights with each other - creating a truly worldwide forum of LDS mental health professionals!

There's much more to see, learn, and do on our new website!  So - create a new account (no charge) on our home page, defining your own username and password - browse, explore, interact!  We hope to get to know you online, here at LDSAmcap.org!
